• Bored Ape with Crown’s Triple Pelt Sells for Record $2.7 Million

  • An NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection has sold for $2.7 million.

    In the last 20 days, this collection has had three auctions of over $1 million.

    Bored Ape #8585 sold last night for a record-breaking 696.969 ETH ($2.7 million). It was the highest price ever paid for a bored ape.

    This NFT is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club series, which features a series of apes with different expressions and costumes – some rarer than others.

    This sale comes on the heels of a series of expensive Bored Ape sales. In the past 20 days, there have been two other sales over the $1 million mark, one for a Bored Ape that also has psychedelic fur and another for a Robot Ape with mechanical eyes.

    The buyer of Bored Ape #8585 has also bought a number of other NFTs in recent days. these include a Fidenza – one of the Art Block curated NFTs – for 200 ETH ($775,000) and two CryptoPunks. the CryptoPunks were purchased for 155 ETH ($600,000) and 265 ETH ($1 million). million) were purchased.

    In total, the buyers spent $5 million on JPEGs – and they still have $1 million of ETH left in their wallets.
