Barrett Wissman Named Chief Investment Advisor to APENFT

Digital art heavyweight Barrett Wissman has joined digital collectibles platform APENFT Foundation as its new chief investment advisor.

In this role, Mr. Wissman will develop and implement a strategy for the APENFT team, which is focused on casting and trading NFTs associated with paintings by top artists.

To date, the foundation has commissioned and acquired works by Beppel, Picasso, Warhol, Basquiat, Parker, Favors and Caves. As previously reported by U.Today, APENFT made headlines for its recent NFT burn, the largest in the history of the field.

On July 20, 2021, APENFT destroyed $2.52 million worth of core native NFT tokens.

Building a flagship digital art collection

Under the leadership of Barrett Wissman, APENFT will continue to nurture its artwork portfolio and support the creation of an incubator to develop and promote early stage NFT artists.

Justin Sun, founder of the TRON (TRX) blockchain platform and APENFT advocate, emphasized the importance of Mr. Wissman’s appointment to the advancement of the Foundation and the NFT industry as a whole.
