Today, Stewart launched Fresh Mint, an online platform dedicated to NFTs. The ethereum-based NFTs were created in partnership with Tokns Commerce, and while they are showcased through the Fresh Mint website, sales and auctions actually take place at OpenSea, the leading NFT marketplace.

NFTs are actually receipts for rare digital items, proving ownership of a unique creation such as a photograph, an illustration, a video file, or a video game object. To date, the NFT marketplace has swelled over the course of 2021, with $10.67 billion worth of transactions in the third quarter alone.

NFT transaction volume reached $10.67 billion in the third quarter, up 700% from the previous quarter.

Stewart’s first NFTs leaned on her reputation for crafty lifestyle creations and holiday vibes: most of them were Halloween-themed, depicting homemade pumpkin-centric crafts, or photos of Stewart in a custom costume.

The auction also features a series of “Carving Series” auctions of one-of-a-kind pumpkin carving artworks (performed by Maniac Pumpkin Carvers) with photos and signed notes by Stewart.

Collectors can also bid on their favorite NFT heads – from the CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club or Pudgy Penguins series, among others – carved into a real pumpkin. In these auctions, the winner will not only receive a raffle photo of an Ether NFT, but a physical pumpkin will be shipped to their home.

“Throughout my life, I’ve been very fortunate to work with talented artists, creators and entrepreneurs,” Stewart said in a press release.” I see NFT as the new canvas for creativity and the blockchain as a tool to protect artists’ intellectual property and support their incredible work.”

Stewart, who is also a friend and frequent collaborator of rapper Snoop Dogg, recently revealed that he has been collecting valuable NFTs under the pseudonym Cozomo de’ Medici.

Since the announcement last month, Snoop – who now uses CryptoPunk as his Twitter profile picture – has tweeted about some of Cozomo’s recent NFT purchases, including X_COPY’s $3.9 million piece and CrypToadz avatar.
