The prolific beer brand Budweiser is making a splash on non-fakeable tokens (NFTs).
Budweiser has changed its Twitter profile image to a rocket designed by NFT platform Rocket Factory.
The beer company also purchased the Beer.eth domain for 30 Ether, or about $95,000, users said.
A link to the DNS address on OpenSea shows that the rocket shown in Budweiser’s Twitter profile was purchased for 8 Ether ($25,000).
Richard Oppy, vice president of global brands at Budweiser’s parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev, told us last month that the beer brand is investing in a new NFT media store run by Internet entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.
The store, which is being touted by beer company executives as a “long-term business play,” will see Budweiser, including the intellectual property of other beer brands, packaged and sold as NFTs.
