• 2TM Group acquires $1 million stake in Fingerprints DAO, the leading NFT curatorial agency

  • São Paulo, Brazil, October XX, 2021 – 2TM Group, the parent company of Mercado Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Latin America, has acquired a $1 million stake in Fingerprints DAO, the leading NFT curation and collection group holding approximately 20,000 ETH worth of NFTs. With this stake, 2TM Group joins Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z), Union Square Ventures (USV) and other participants in one of the world’s foremost NFT art-focused DAOs.

    What started as a relatively obscure phenomenon on the fringes of the crypto space, NFT has become a global sensation, generating dozens of headlines every day. Traditional celebrities like Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are now exploring the frontiers pioneered by digital artists and blockchain innovators, with NFT trading volumes soaring to over $10 billion in Q3 2021. Beeple raked in $69 million in the world’s first NFT auction at Christie’s in March amid an explosion of NFT enthusiasm.

    Created in March 2021, the Fingerprints DAO currently has more than 250 members and has assembled one of the largest collections of smart contract-based artwork, including. digital Zones of Immaterial Pictorial Sensibility by Mitchell F. Chan, Harm van den Dorpel’s Mutant Garden Seeder, and DEAFBEEF’s Glitchbox. artworks by these three artists are currently being auctioned at Sotheby’s Metaverse.

    Fingerprints also owns 26 Autoglyphs, one of the largest collections in the world.Created by the creators of CryptoPunks in 2019, Autoglyphs is the first artwork to be created and stored entirely on the ethereum blockchain. Only 512 Autoglyphs exist, and they currently have a price floor of over $1.3 million.
