• Boss Beauties Parner With None Other Than Barbie

  • Today, Boss Beauties revealed its latest digital collab, this time with none other than Barbie. The news comes as the female-led project prepares for its Boss Beauty Role Models 1/1 NFT drop scheduled between March 9-12th.

    In order to celebrate International Women’s Day, Barbie and Boss Beauties will launch an exclusive digital asset. Although it hasn’t been revealed yet, the digital asset is designed “to empower women and girls at the forefront of technology and creativity,” Mattel-owned Barbie said.

    Boss Beauties x Barbie, a long-awaited NFT drop

    “Dreamt of this moment my whole life,” the Boss Beauties team wrote in a tweet. “We at Boss Beauties are super excited to kick Women’s History Month off with our newest DREAM partner!”

    This year, NFT collectors will be able to celebrate International Women’s Day by minting an NFT created by Barbie and Boss Beauties. Accordingly, the digital asset is part of Boss Beauties’ Role Models NFT collection which focuses on women empowerment.

    The drop will take place starting March 9th via OpenSea, available until March 12th. What’s more, all proceeds generated from the auction will go to the Barbie Dream Gap Project.

    “We know that children are inspired by what they see around them. That is why it’s so important for young girls to see themselves in role models who’ve daringly pushed past roadblocks and overcome the Dream Gap to become the brave women they are today,” said Lisa McKnight, Senior Vice President at Barbie.

    Promoting women’s strength digitally

    Of course, Boss Beauties’ collaboration with Barbie marks a historical breakthrough in the NFT industry. Nevertheless, this isn’t the only female NFT project to support female diversity and strength.

    For example, World of Women has recently joined forces with Billboard to celebrate female musicians. As a result, the team revealed three exclusive NFT covers featuring Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Mariah Carey.
