• Bumble metaverse dates and parties coming up

  • Dating app Bumble is one of the latest companies to incorporate the metaverse into its system. As such, the project aims to upgrade its upcoming Bumble BFF platform with the capabilities of Web 3.0.

    Dating through Bumble’s metaverse

This week, Texas-based dating company Bumble confirmed its interest in Web 3.0. Essentially, the team is planning to explore new ways to merge the metaverse with its upcoming Bumble BFF platform.

According to Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd, the new app creates a perfect opportunity to step into the digital marketplace.

“Bumble BFF gives us a platform to make Bumble a leader in the Web 3.0 world. In the short term, this means a new engagement, participation and creator model. But in the long term, it becomes a way for members to own their experience on Bumble,” she said.

In the near future, users will be able to meet and interact in a meta-universe. This new experience could include virtual experiences, asset trading, and new ways to reveal their identity digitally.

So far, the company hasn’t revealed many details about how the future app will work. However, we do know that its Web 3.0 integration matches Bumble’s core values, including women’s empowerment.

Empowering women through Web 3 technology

Unlike other similar dating apps, Bumble encourages female users to take the first step in searching and meeting new partners. It is a successful concept, as the platform already has over 42 million active users per month.

The dating company is also determined to make a start with Web 3.0. Recently, Bumple posted two “Web 3 and Cryptocurrency Executive” job opportunities, which were quickly taken up. As a result, the team is already making progress.

“We have a couple of tests that we’re very excited about and we’ll be launching around that in the next few months, but we think this is the first foothold there,” said Tariq Shaukat, president of Bumble, Inc.” This is something that will continue to evolve. We want to make sure we lay the technical and engineering foundation for anything that comes out of the metaverse and the Web 3.0 world.”

    Web3, an infinite virtual universe

This year, Web 3.0 expanded at the speed of light – largely thanks to interest in the NFT market. With millions of users investing in digital assets, virtual companies are exploring new ways to increase their utility.

For example, this month tech giant Microsoft revealed its plans to join the meta-universe as well. In fact, the company believes the metaverse has become an “enduring digital world that connects to many aspects of the physical world, including people, places and things.”
