• Doja Cat与OneOf Marketplace发布NFT系列

  • The music-focused non-fungible token (NFT) platform released the first drop of rapper/singer Doja Cat’s Genesis NFT series “Planet Doja” on Wednesday. The release includes two tiers of tokens and 26,000 collectibles, starting at $5.

Each digital collectible purchased unlocks the “Planet Doja” Discord channel, and some NFTs will be bundled with tour tickets and a live VIP experience. The launch will culminate in an auction for a single “OneOf” token, which will entitle the purchaser to an all-expenses-paid trip to see the artist on tour.

Doja Cat is following in the footsteps of Kings of Leon and other bands by offering exclusive deals through NFT as a way to increase fan engagement.

OneOf was founded by Lin Dai, singer Joshua James and filmmaker Adam Fell with Quincy Jones Productions. It closed a $63 million seed round in June, led by investors Nima Capital, Sangha Capital and Jaeson Ma, co-founder of music label 88rising.

The platform lives on Tezos, one of the first blockchains with a proof-of-stake consensus system to go live in 2018. The network boasts zero fees for purchases and transactions, and says it uses more than two million times less energy than proof-of-work networks like Ether forging NFTs.

    Coinbase goes NFT?

OneOf has also partnered with Coinbase to allow fans to buy Doja NFTs with credit cards outside of cryptocurrency.

Surojit Chatterjee, Coinbase’s chief product officer, said in a press release that the company is excited to help “bring the innovation of NFTs to the masses” by offering user-friendly and affordable collectibles.

“I don’t know that much about NFTs,” Doja Cat said in a press release.” But what I do know is that they can be harmful to the environment and cost a lot. Mine won’t.”
