• Dolce & Gabbana’s NFT: Launching at the end of August

  • The famous Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana will launch its first “Genesis Collection” NFTs on the luxury market UNDX at the end of August.

D&G co-founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have personally designed the objects represented by the NFTs, which are inspired by Venice and want to connect “their creative work from the material to the metaphysical world.”

Specifically, the launch is planned for three of Dolce & Gabbana’s main events; Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria, which will take place in Venice at the end of August. Thus, the first official public launch will take place during the D&G’s Alta Moda fashion show in Venice on August 28, while the auction will run until September 6, 2021.

The platform chosen for the launch, UNDX, is built on Polygon, the second layer of Ether.

Dolce & Gabbana’s NFT: ready to launch on UNDX

The relationship between Dolce & Gabbana and the luxury and cultural market UNDX was described in a live Twitter Spaces broadcast.

In this regard, Shashi Menon, CEO of UNXD, said.

“We have a very deep relationship with the Dolce & Gabbana family and have been working with them for years. When we approached them with the idea, we were really inspired by the team’s approach. What’s important here is that fundamentally, fashion is an artistic medium.”

Nick Gonzalez, COO of UNXD, also expressed his thoughts on the matter, noting that D&G’s entry into the world of NFTs this time will lead the way for other brands in the cryptocurrency space, as digital ownership creates new opportunities.

Unforgivable tokens continue to make all markets fall in love. In addition to luxury and fashion sectors like this one from D&G, there are other industries that have recently gotten in on the action.

Such as Pudgy Penguin’s community NFTs, which represent a collection of penguin memes that have sold for $469,000 within this summer for its NFT #6873.

Or, likewise, in recent days, NFTs have entered the film industry. Such as “Silhouettes,” a sci-fi movie that has arranged to sell its viewing tickets on Liquid Network as Non-Fungible Token.
