• ESPN, DraftKings execs join football NFT platform Sorare with $680M in funding

  • European football NFT platform Sorare has announced that the company is continuing its growth with a series of new hires.

    Ryan Spoon has been appointed COO, bringing experience from BetMGM and ESPN.

    Michael Melzer, who previously worked for sports betting site DraftKings, will become the company’s new vice president of business development.

    David Byttow, a technologist who has worked for Lyft, Snap and Postmates, has been hired to head the mobile division.

    Kiana Davari has been named head of people at Sorare. She oversees international talent as Lyft’s first-ever recruiter.

    Sorare raised $680 million in a Series B funding round that valued the company at $4.3 billion.

    The Paris-based company plans to grow its business internationally, including opening an office in the United States.
