• Harvey Nichols launches contest to win RTFKT Clone X NFT

  • Harvey Nichols is the latest fashion brand to join the NFT space. The department store has partnered with RTFKT to give away an NFT from the studio’s recent Clone X offering.

    Harvey Nichols partners with RTFKT studio for giveaway

    The high-end department store announced the partnership on the same day that Clone X began pre-orders. The giveaway contest will run through Dec. 4.

    There are two ways to enter the giveaway. One is for anyone who makes a purchase at Harvey Nichols between 27 November and 4 December, either in store in London or Hong Kong, or online. The buyer then uploads their receipt to the giveaway website. In addition, entrants must answer the question, “What future utility/use would you most like to see from your Clone X NFT?” to be eligible.

    Secondly, there was an Instagram competition. For this competition, entrants will need to take a photo of themselves “with a clone that matches your DNA type” at the Harvey Nichols store. Posting the photo on Instagram and tagging it accordingly will earn you an entry. Full details of the giveaway can be obtained via the announcement tweet.

    Fashion brands are getting into NFTs in a big way

    Of course, the fashion world is no stranger to NFTs. In fact, Givenchy launched an NFT collection in June in honor of Pride Month. Additionally, Dolce & Gabbana broke records earlier this year with its debut collection priced at nearly 2,000 ETH.

    In contrast to these brands, Harvey Nichols has yet to launch their own NFTs, meaning that their partnership with such a popular NFT studio and collection is still a very strong way to enter the space.
