• Louis Vuitton to launch NFT game with art from Beeple

  • As part of its 200th anniversary celebrations, luxury brand Louis Vuitton is launching a video game featuring the artwork of renowned NFT artist Mike ‘Beeple’ Winkelmann.

The French fashion house is known for its ultra-chic designs and its collaborative approach to fashion.Louis Vuitton has a history of collaborating with artists and designers to constantly push the relevance of its brand, and it is not afraid to modify its image while always maintaining its recognizable brand identity.

As the 200th anniversary approaches, the famous brand has announced the launch of a gaming app “Louis

: The Game” to celebrate the birthday of the founder Louis Vuitton.

This NFT-based game contains history and anecdotes from the founder’s life as the game takes players on a quest to find a special destination.

As one would expect from a luxury brand with a prominent artistic vision, the brand has also added digital artist Beeple to its list of collaborative artists after previous collaborations with the likes of Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama and Stephen Sprouse.

Beeple has previously worked with Louis Vuitton to create prints inspired by existing artwork for its spring/summer 2019 womenswear collection, as well as creating prints and a number of videos for the fashion house’s store windows.

Beeple’s take on the app “Louis: The Game” comes in the form of 10 unique NFTs out of a total of 30 that players can collect in the game.

For 2019, Louis Vuitton has partnered with League of Legends to design some of the characters’ outfits, but “Louis: The Game” will be the fashion brand’s first direct foray into NFTs.
