Mobile action MMORPG Dragon Blood has joined forces with blockchain service platform PlayDapp. Fans of the game can now convert key in-game items into NFTs for true player ownership. However, this only applies to the international version of the game, and not the local Korean version. Dragon Blood Legends launched in South Korea on August 8 and is being served locally by SuperTree.
The PlayDapp SDK will be applied to the international version of the game, and the service allows any game to be turned into a DApp through simple interoperability and allows features such as minting, burning and trading to be applied to the game’s content.
Dragon Blood allows players to engage in large-scale battles using end-game ‘dragon’ shaped weapons. This action MMORPG also features basic RPG elements such as character growth, dragon development and item production.
The game has been receiving top rankings on app marketplaces such as the Google Play Store and Apple App store in South Korea.PlayDapp plans to release a blockchain version of the game later this year, stating.” We have fully validated the playability, stability and balance of Dragon Blood through our domestic service. We are excited to launch a global service version of Dragonblood. A version that will apply blockchain technology. A global service that will launch in the fourth quarter of this year.”
