Blockchain fan engagement platform Raiinmaker has formed a partnership with renowned multimedia creator Cosmic Wire to enter the red-hot NFT space.
Banksy’s ‘Spy Booth’ to be released as NFT
The Raiinmaker platform has announced a partnership with Cosmic Wire, the go-to platform for multimedia content creation.
In this partnership, the two companies will release six exclusive non-interchangeable tokens. These tokens will commemorate the famous mural “Spy Booth” by renowned street artist Banksy.
The mural depicts spies in the 1950s; it was first displayed near the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the UK’s secret security agency, in 2014.
It was destroyed two hours later, but pieces of the mural were recovered and are now under revelation.
Cosmic Wire CEO Jerad Finck stressed that the release is crucial to the digital art scene, as it restores iconic artworks to be remembered for longer.
At Cosmic, we’re really excited to bring this amazing work back to the world and preserve it indefinitely for future generations to enjoy. These remnants are all that remains of the work and they will now be sealed in time forever in the blockchain.
The blockchain will support three climate change charities
One hundred percent of the royalty stream from this NFT sale will be distributed to three charities that are trying to combat climate change.
In addition to royalties, Laudato Tree, the Coalition for Rainforest Nations (CfRN) and American Forests will also receive a total of $100,000 from Raiinmaker and Cosmic Wire.
Raiinmaker founder J.D. Seraphine emphasized the importance of this charitable initiative.
It’s critical that we all step up and do our part to help turn the tide at this important time for climate change. We are proud to support all the important work of CfRN, Laudato Tree and American Forests.
A growing number of NFT heavyweights are releasing Banksy-inspired NFTs for charity.
A similar initiative was announced by Valuart in Q2 2021.
