• Rentfuse builds NFT sharing protocol for Neo ecosystem dApps

  • Rentfuse hopes to become the standard for NFT rentals used by other dApps in the Neo ecosystem.Rentfuse founder Michael Fabozzi joined episode 61 of the Neo News Today podcast to discuss winning the best NFT project at the recent Neo Frontier Launchpad hackathon Job.

Rentfuse is a protocol that enables NFT owners on Neo N3 to rent out their assets while maintaining ownership control. It allows the borrower to use the NFT for a pre-determined period of time in exchange for GAS without the owner relinquishing custody of the asset.

Fabozzi envisions current and future use of NFTs in both the meta- and physical worlds. In the interview, he offers examples of lending weapons to defeat difficult opponents in multiplayer online games, and integrating IoT and blockchain technology to control access to housing units.

In addition to these use cases, Rentfuse’s founder envisions a Neo ecosystem in which various NFT-based dApps and projects leverage the protocol. After the hackathon, Fabozzi pointed out several new NFT projects he’d like to work with, including TOTHEMOON, GhostMarket, and Humswap. he said.

A lot of new projects could really benefit from using Rentfuse, from integrating Rentfuse. It can enable a part of the in-game or in-app economy, which can really boost the community behind the project and the way users interact with them.

To make Rentfuse a simple protocol, the team aims to provide top-notch documentation.Fabozzi notes that developers use C# to code the contract, which allows them to leave some XML document comments.XML provides developers with the ability to leave comments in the code that can provide hints or more information about what’s possible. In addition, the development team plans to create bundles, repositories and packages to make Rentfuse’s contracts easier to integrate.

Looking ahead, the Rentfuse team has grown to three people since the Launchpad event, and they are looking to add another developer to help build the protocol.Fabozzi is aiming to launch Rentfuse in the first quarter of 2022, but will release a more detailed roadmap in the near future.
