Luxury fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue has released its first ever NFT cover for the September issue of Vogue Singapore. Historically September is the biggest and most important issue of the year. There will be two NFT covers created by different artists. The magazine does not have a printed cover, but comes with a QR code that buyers will need to scan to see the NFT.
The two NFT covers are called “The RenaiXance Rising” and “Triumphant Awakening” and are part of September’s global theme, “New Beginnings,” which explores the creative renaissance brought about by digital innovation.
The ‘RenaiXance Rising’ NFT was created by artist and photographer Shavonne Wong and digital fashion company The Fabricant. The programmable NFT changes poses and lighting based on the real-time time in Singapore.Shavonne is known in the space for her 3D virtual model NFT, which has previously been featured in the Singapore edition of Vogue.
“Victory Awakening” was designed by 3D artist Chad Knight in collaboration with Singaporean design studio Baëlf Design, who created AI-generated fractal headpieces. Both NFTs will be available as 1-of-1 releases at the end of this month. Fans will be able to purchase just the cover or buy this issue.
